Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is staffed by Registered Nurses and is available to assist Timbers’ residents with medical needs such as:

Blood pressure monitoring
Medication education
Acting as a liaison between residents and their physicians
Monitoring health conditions to help residents decide if an emergency room visit is necessary
Ordering medical equipment
Answering any medical questions or concerns residents may have

Home Health Services

The Timbers of Shorewood works with several Medicare certified home health agencies. When health conditions warrant skilled care, residents’ can receive services in the comfort of their own apartments with assistance from a home health agency of their choice. Physicians agree that most patients recover sooner and comfortably in the familiar surroundings of their home

Provena St. Joseph Medical Center Satellite Therapy Center

Residents of The Timbers of Shorewood can take advantage of this satellite location for physical, occupational, or speech therapy. The center is staffed with licensed therapists. They will bill Medicare or secondary insurances directly.

Monthly Health Seminars - “Quality of Life” Series

Each month the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community plans and initiates educational seminars on health topics important to the senior population. Topics include understanding diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease, dealing with grief or depression and many more. Residents are given opportunities to ask questions to make certain they have complete understanding. Following the seminar, healthy refreshments are served in order to give residents time to reflect and discuss the topic.

Free Local Transportation

The Timbers offers its residents free scheduled transportation to any local store or service provider within seven miles of our community.

Guest Suite

Family members and friends may use the Timbers' guest suite making visits convenient.

Onsite Banking

Tellers are on duty six times a week to assist in setting up new accounts, depositing or withdrawing funds, and most other banking needs.

The Timbers Beauty Salon & Barber Shop

The Timbers Beauty Salon & Barber Shop offers salon services and products to both women and men. Services include haircuts, manicures, hair styling, and all other beauty salon services. In addition, the salon has quality hair products available for purchase.

Will County Senior Services

Caseworkers are available by appointment to educate residents on current programming and assist with registration. In addition, several open-to-the-public activities and events are sponsored by Will County Senior Services and hosted at the Timbers.
