The Concert in the Park series continues with the Banjo Buddies Dixieland Jazz Trio from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community. Seniors citizens and residents from Joliet, Plainfield, Shorewood and the surrounding area are invited.
Leader Ann Stewart is featured on jazz banjo and vocals, Tim Stewart on trombone, and Verne Rind on bass and vocals. They specialize in Dixieland jazz from the 1920s through the ‘40s. Their music is fun and lively and presented in an entertaining fashion with audience interaction.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent living and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
