No one needs to board a bus to go to the local bowling alley at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community. Residents can take part in a competitive bowling league using Nintendo Wii bowling. They are taking to it with gusto.
Each Timbers’ manager asks three residents to join his or her bowling team. The residents who are game enough to try Wii and join a team are not only out to win, but each bowler reports feeling less achy and stiff. Another benefit: their grandchildren think it’s cool that Grandma and Grandpa can handle a Wii controller.
