Concert in the Park Series

During the summer months the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community hosts a popular monthly outdoor concert series of live performances titled, “Concert in the Park.” It takes place at Timbers’ outdoor patio and is free and open to the public.

The local neighborhood and senior residents of Joliet, Plainfield and Shorewood often join the Timbers’ residents outside for summer music at this enjoyable series. Each month typically features a different style of music. Some concerts include several bands and/or musicians.

Past musicians who have performed at the “Concert in the Park” series include:

• Big Band and Swing Music - The Nick Desmond Band, The Flat Cats
• Frank Sinatra Music - The Jerry Armstrong Band
• Classical Music - Arkady Bodner, The Tenors Three,
• ‘50s & ‘60s Music - Quentin Flagg, Erik Lucky
• Country Music - Marvina Bowker, Megan Smith
• Blue Grass Music - The Statesboro Band, Mike Maloney’s Bluegrass Band
