Senior citizens from Joliet, Plainfield, Shorewood, and Timbers’ residents had a lucky time at the 7th Annual Seniors’ Senior Prom titled, “Vegas Night,” held Friday, June 24, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
More than 500 area residents joined the Easter Bunny for the annual “Hippity-Hop Easter Egg Hunt” on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
Hundreds of kids scrambled for 10,000 eggs, and everyone went home a winner. Entertainment included a visit from Chuckles the Clown, a petting zoo, pony rides, two caricature artists, magicians and balloon sculptures.
Area senior citizens and Timbers’ residents had a great time at the 6th Annual Seniors’ Senior Prom titled, “A Tropical Summer Night,” held Friday, June 25, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
The Jay Mau Orchestra provided the music of the Big Band era, and the evening featured dancing, raffles, and all the prom trimmings. A special moment was the crowning of the king and queen of the prom – Bob Dubrick and Helen O’Malley, both Timbers’ residents.
The Fifth Annual Seniors’ Senior Prom took place at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community last month. The special prom night for Joliet, Plainfield and Shorewood area seniors featured music, inter-generational dancing with students of Joliet Catholic Academy, a buffet, raffles, and all the prom trimmings. The 10-piece Jay Mau Orchestra provided music for ballroom dancing. At the end of the night, a king and queen were crowned.
Residents and senior citizens form the Joliet area enjoyed a beautiful spring day at the 2009 patio opening party at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community.
