The Timbers of Shorewood has been recognized with the “Best Independent Living Award” and the “Best Assisted Living Award” in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Senior Living ratings, further solidifying its position as a leader in senior living in Joliet area. This is the second year in a row The Timbers has been awarded the “Best Independent Living Award 2025.”

U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Senior Living ratings are based on consumer-satisfaction data derived from surveys of nearly 550,000 residents of senior-living communities and their family members. U.S. News evaluated more than 3,800 communities throughout the United States.
