Christine Stapleton sings Country

Christine Stapleton sings country at the Timbers of Shorewood

A Timbers’ favorite, singer Christine Stapleton will perform the classic songs of legends Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd.

As a lark, Stapleton sang Patsy Cline’s “Crazy,” as a karaoke performance at her office Christmas party. She was overwhelmed and gratified at the response. She didn’t realize she had taken the first step to what would be two careers – one in the karaoke business and one as a professional singer.

Stapleton and her husband Dan own Krazy Karaoke, a mobile business they take to wedding receptions, office parties, Christmas parties, class reunions, and annual gigs at the Grundy County Corn Festival and the Grundy County Fair. They named the business after Christine’s favorite song, “Crazy.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments as well as a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.

The public is invited, and admission is free. For more information call  815-609-0669.
