A discrete personal emergency alert button is available to all residents of the Timbers of Shorewood. Once activated, the button sends a signal to the staff alerting them that a resident is in need of urgent care. This could be due to a sudden illness, a fall or any emergency situation. Access to the Timbers’ staff is available for residents 24/7 to help when they are in need of care or to determine if additional care is needed. In addition, every apartment at the Timbers of Shorewood has two emergency pull cords, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom.
In the event of an emergency or disaster, the Timbers of Shorewood is in close proximity to the fire and police departments as well as Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, formerly Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
