  • Petting zoo, with 25-30 farmyard animals including: goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, a pot-bellied pig, and a bunny rabbit
  • Caricature artists
  • Games, prizes, popcorn, hot chocolate, and cookies

“We’re thrilled to host the annual Hippity-Hop Easter Egg Hunt, a true community favorite,” said Sheila Albor, director of marketing at the Timbers. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to create lasting memories at The Timbers of Shorewood, and we’re proud to offer this free, fun-filled day to the community.”

Although it is unclear where exactly the egg hunt tradition stems from, eggs and bunnies are symbolic of spring and rebirth. Birds tend to lay their eggs in the spring, and rabbits are very fertile animals whose babies are known to scurry about this time of year.

Just as these symbols have turned into tradition, the Timbers’ egg hunt has become a highly-attended and anticipated event for the entire community.
