Comic Tom Connolly will present a performance titled, “Gaelic & Garlic,” at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood. Connolly is a Chicago area actor, author and comic.
After overcoming years of addiction and depression, Connolly is now focused on dispelling the myths behind these conditions and helping those in similar situations. His book “Soul Parole: Making Peace with my Mind, God and Myself” reflects his journey. In addition, proceeds benefit local addiction, homeless and mental health facilities.
Connolly’s passion for sharing laughter has included fundraisers for causes such as recovery, Lupus and MS. He has performed in comedy clubs such as Zanies as well as the infamous Stateville Prison as a member of the “Comedy Faith Outreach” program.
He has appeared in more than 25 TV series, movies and national commercials. He can be seen in the hit series NCIS, Vegas, Boss, Parks and Recreation, Mob Doctor and Chicago Fire.
