Don Reitsma is considered a great accordionist, and he will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, in the Piano Lounge at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. This is a free event and is open to the public.
He provides music from many eras including the “Oldies,” sing-a-longs, Big Band, standards, and music from the ’20s to the ’70s. Reitsma has performed on radio, television and for many special events. He is a highly versatile musician playing keyboard, accordion, piano and organ. He also has a rich baritone voice.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
