Twenty two seniors completed the Timbers of Shorewood’s Academy for Seniors 24-week course – “Medical Myths, Lies, and Half Truths” in May of 2025. Launched in 2018, the Timbers’ Academy for Seniors features continuing education courses on a wide range of topics.

Local children of all ages and their families are invited to the annual Hippity-Hop Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at The Timbers. For the third consecutive year, the community has been voted “Best Senior Living Community in Will County” by readers of the Herald-News in their 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards. This award is a testament to the dedication of our entire team who go above and beyond to create a vibrant and supportive community for our residents.
The Timbers of Shorewood donated $15,500 to the Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association as part of #GivingTuesday. To date, The Timbers of Shorewood has donated more than $66,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association.
